Our Sustainable Materials

• Organic and BCI cotton

  Cotton fabric feels great - and can withstand a lot. We like to use cotton in our knitwear and jersey products as well as in our fabric trousers category. In addition to organic cotton from organic farming, without pesticides, artificial fertilisers and genetic engineering, we support the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), the world's largest alliance for more sustainability in the cotton industry. The initiative helps cotton farms to switch to production with fewer chemicals and less water consumption. Growers are subject to guidelines on the use of pesticides, water efficiency, soil protection and working conditions. Our production partners worldwide are BCI-certified. This not only benefits the environment, but also your skin.

• Ecovero™ viscose

  Viscose is also a plant-based material. A chemical process converts cellulose into a versatile and robust fibre. We use Ecovero™ viscose, which is made from guaranteed sustainably grown wood, for our trousers and accessories, for example. The highest environmental standards apply to production: Compared to conventional viscose, it causes 50 per cent fewer emissions and water pollution. The material is also certified with the EU Ecolabel.

• Lenzing Tencel™

  As flowing, smooth and cooling as silk: we use Lenzing TENCEL™ , which is made from wood pulp from sustainable forestry and recycled wood waste, in our knitwear and jersey products, among other things. Water and solvents are almost completely reused in the environmentally friendly manufacturing process. This closed cycle makes the material particularly sustainable and offers exceptional comfort, even for sensitive skin.

• Sorona®

  Sorona® is a soft and breathable fibre with warming properties. We use the fibre as filling material for our puffer jackets. Sorona® polymers consist of 37 per cent renewable plant-based ingredients and are particularly durable. The core raw material is obtained from plant sugar. Compared to nylon, Sorona® polymers consume 30 per cent less energy and generate 50 per cent fewer greenhouse gas emissions. We use a mixture of Sorona Polydown Filling (30 per cent) and recycled PES Filling (70 per cent) in our articles.

• Recycled Polyester

  Polyester is the most commonly used synthetic fibre for textiles because the material is stretchy, lightweight and breathable. For recycled polyester, we use raw materials that are already in the cycle (e.g. from PET bottles).

• Recycled Polyamide

  Polyester makes our textiles, such as jersey tops, particularly durable and stretchy. As the material pollutes the environment when it is disposed of, we use recycled polyamide.
